Why I Don't Scream "I'm Independent"
I agree with the fellas when they say Beyonce messed up these girls’ heads. One of my pet peeves is the “I’m independent. I don’t need a man” woman. SHUT THE FUCK UP!!! Independence does mean you don’t need a man. But it doesn’t mean you don’t want one and 80% of y’all screaming y’all indepent, wish you were in a relationship. How would you feel if a man was walking around screaming he don’t need a woman?! What type of message does that send?? You aren’t going to want to be with someone like that.
As women we are taught to not DEPEND on a man for everything. Meaning have your own resources for a productive healthy life IN CASE you end up without a partner. Not to use it as a defense mechanism. You’re basically telling a man he’s useless before he even tries. No bueno….besides it’s just unattractive.
